Signalment and history:

A ten month old male Pit Bull is presented for a non weight bearing lameness of the left forelimb. The dog was playing in the back yard when the owners heard a yelp and found him carrying the leg. The dog has been healthy and there are no other problems noted on physical examination. The owners are very attached to the dog and will do anything you recommend to treat the fracture.
