Signalment and history:

A two year old Husky mix female spayed dog is presented to you one day after being hit by a car. She is non-weight bearing on the left forelimb and is carrying the leg with a dropped elbow and dragging the paw.

Physical examination:

The humeral area is swollen and bruised. There are no other physical abnormalities. The owners assure you that they will do better from now on and keep this dog from running free as she has in the past. The owners are also very concerned about finances and want you to do everything you can, but keep also the costs down.
