Simone, known as OC by colleagues, is a third-year student hailing from Statesboro, Ga. She is pursing a joint veterinary/public health degree. She has a special interest in vector-borne disease and antimicrobial-resistant pathogens. She hopes to pursue a career in preventive medicine and eventually become a member of a uniformed service, where she feels she can make an impact in the community she serves.
