Dechra Excellence in Equine Sports Medicine
For a fourth-year veterinary student who has been selected by the faculty and staff for exhibiting interest in and enthusiasm for equine sports medicine, and who has excelled in the diagnosis and management of rehabilitation and lameness conditions.

Courtney grew up as the sixth generation on her family’s dairy farm in West Branch, Mich. She is interested in equine and dairy medicine and possibly mixed animal practice. She is considering multiple job opportunities in southwest Michigan when she graduates in May. Her goal is to open her own mixed animal practice that emphasizes dairy medicine and equine sports medicine.
