Samantha, a second-year student from Tucson, Ariz., worked many years as a veterinary assistant and human aide responder in that area before veterinary school and looks forward to returning to serve the under-resourced communities there. This year she will volunteer or work at low-cost vaccine clinics, wildlife rehabilitation centers, the college’s oncology service, and the Wildlife Epidemiology Laboratory to see where she most thrives.
