Jenna, a fourth-year student from Plainfield, Ill., will enter a small animal rotating internship after graduation and eventually hopes to specialize in medical oncology or emergency and critical care. Both fields create a strong connection and trust with clients, helping them understand their pets’ underlying condition and navigate challenging situations.

Abigail, a second-year student from Sandusky, Ohio, is interested in small animal general practice and shelter medicine. She is active in student organizations, including the shelter medicine and feline clubs, and works as a student harvester. Abigail would like to own her own practice one day.

Monica, a second-year student from Maysville, Ky., is interested in ophthalmology and zoological medicine. She hopes to use her veterinary education and hands-on skills to provide excellent care to all animals.

Matthew Vonch
Matthew, a third-year student from Plainfield, Ill., is interested in small animal surgery and equine general practice. He hopes to work in a mixed animal practice, either in northern Illinois or possibly in western Colorado, where he can work in both fields.
