For a student with financial need who is pursuing a career in small animal medicine; preference is given to minority students as well as those with experience at a humane society or animal shelter.

Kristine, a third-year student who originally hails from Orland Park, Ill., is a second-career student, having had her start in cosmetology. She is interested in small animal practice with some mixed animal interest and plans to work in Illinois after graduation.
