For a student interested in the science of veterinary medicine and involvement in organized veterinary medicine demonstrated by membership in AVMA and/or ISVMA. Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong work ethic, honesty, integrity and compassion. Preference given to a need based student.

Rachael, a fourth-year student from Houston, Texas, hopes to specializes in small animal internal medicine and eventually open a specialty hospital, using the business skills she has learned at Illinois. She plans to continue mentoring students from underserved areas to foster their love of science and bring more diversity to the veterinary field.
