The recipient should be an outstanding graduate student who developed or improved a vaccine or diagnostic test for a pathogen using an innovative molecular approach. The awardee will be based upon publication(s) in a peer reviewed journal or publication(s) accepted for publication in a peer review journal.

Chi is a third-year PhD student from China who is deeply interested in infectious diseases diagnostics and animal health. Looking forward, Chi aims to contribute to advancements in veterinary medicine and public health, particularly in developing rapid and accessible diagnostic tools.
