Maci is a first-year student from Tampa, Fla. Currently she is interested in going into veterinary leadership, academia, or possibly neurology. However, she is open to learning about all areas of veterinary medicine.

Macy is a first-year student from Vidalia, Ga., who is interested in small animal general practice and neurology. She hopes to provide low-cost care to rural communities in her area. Macy plans to complete an internship at a neurology specialty practice to gain knowledge in that discipline.

Sally is a third-year student from Naperville, Ill. She plans to pursue her interests in shelter medicine and surgery upon graduation.

Annie is a second-year student from Westfield, Ind. She is interested in mixed animal practice with a focus in non-profit or agricultural medicine in hopes to use her career to aid the less fortunate in a practical way. She is also interested in furthering her education with a certification in acupuncture, nutrition, or chiropractic.

Cristen, a third-year student, says her primary mission in becoming a veterinarian is to serve clients and communities by providing quality care for their animals. She is interested in practice ownership and surgery. Originally from Benton, Ill., Cristen now resides in Urbana with her husband, Derek, and their wonderful mixed-breed dog, Archie.
