Student must be in good academic standing, demonstrate the need for financial assistance, continuous membership in SCAVMA & CVMA, preference to students focusing on small animal practice. Essay topic “How I hope to benefit the veterinary profession in the Chicagoland area after graduation.”

Jaesul is a first-year student from New York City. She is currently interested in small animal general practice, emergency medicine, shelter medicine, and surgery. She looks forward to gaining more experience in each area over time.
Abigail, a third-year student from Streamwood, Ill., is interested in equine medicine and surgery and hopes to pursue research and practice ownership. She plans to attend an equine-focused internship, followed by an equine surgery residency.
