Alex is a first-year student from Peoria, Ill. He is interested in small animal and exotics practice as well as anatomical pathology. He would like to work in or near a large city after graduation in order to see more exotic pets.

Tess is a third-year student from Danforth, Ill. She is interested in pursuing a career in equine veterinary medicine and rural mixed animal practice. She plans on completing an equine internship following graduation and then practicing in a mixed animal practice with a large percentage of equine patients.

Jesi, a second-year student from Glencoe, Ill., is interested in equine medicine and wants to go into general practice or specialize in internal medicine or anesthesiology. She plans to do an equine internship upon graduation, followed by a residency or entering private practice. She is also considering entering academia later in her career.

Emma is a fourth-year student from Tinley Park, Ill. She is interested in small animal general practice and shelter medicine and is hoping to combine the two in her career. She is planning to work in small animal general practice in the Champaign area after graduation.
