David and Bonnie McConnell Scholarship
For a student with a solid foundation in basic sciences; a questioning mind; a work ethic reflecting perseverance, self-reliance, and initiative; a willingness to accept responsibility in the face of financial need; and collegiality and a positive attitude. The student must have current membership in the Illinois Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Kami, a second-year student from Glenview, Ill., is a team leader at the Wildlife Medical Clinic and a researcher for the Wildlife Epidemiology Laboratory. She is interested in entering the match program during her fourth year and pursuing a residency or internship after graduation.
