Valeria is a fourth-year student from Sarasota, Fla. She is interested in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and cardiology. Valeria plans to work in Chicago, Ill., and volunteer through shelter medicine work or public education in animal health.

Lauren is a fourth-year student from Indianapolis, Ind. She is interested in zoological medicine and hopes to pursue a residency in zoo and wildlife medicine. She has applied for small animal rotating internships for after graduation.
