Hannah Blum
Hannah is a first-year student from Whiteland, Ind. She is interested in pathology, specifically anatomic pathology, and hopes to pursue a residency after graduation.
Katerina Dudgeon
Katerina, a second-year student from Pittsburgh, Pa., now resides in Urbana, Ill., with her husband. She is interested in small animal companion medicine, companion exotics, and wildlife. Katerina loves using her passion for veterinary medicine to inspire children to pursue STEM-related fields.
Brianna Huff
Brianna is a second-year student from Ringwood, Ill. She has a strong interest in exotic companion animals and zoological medicine. In the future, she hopes to work closely with clients and their pets, as well as zoos and wildlife rehabilitation centers.
Andrea Sonichsen
Andy is a fourth-year student from Chicago Ridge, Ill. She will join Blue Ridge Veterinary Clinic in Purcellville, Va., as a small animal general practice veterinarian. There she will be mentored in emergency medicine while working closely with local animal shelters and rescues to provide these animals the best quality of care.
Hannah Sparling
Hannah is a third-year student from Wildwood, Mo. She is interested in large animal medicine with equine, bovine, and small ruminant species as well as in theriogenology. She sees herself working in a rural large animal exclusive practice after graduation.
Michael Stadler
Michael is a first-year student from DeKalb, Ill. He is interested in equine and mixed animal practice. He has been working with horses since he was seven and is very passionate about their care. He grew up in a rural area and hopes to serve a rural community someday.
Courtney Wangler
Courtney, a third-year student, grew up on a dairy farm in West Branch, Mich., and plans to practice in rural Michigan. She spent the past few years working in swine research and completing externships focused on equine and dairy medicine, including a month-long rotation in Stephenville, Texas, at the Signature Equine Hospital. In her final year, she hopes to have rotations in bovine palpation and equine lameness.
Grace Zukowski
Grace is a fourth-year student from Woburn, Mass. She fell in love with emergency medicine during her first-year ER rotation and hopes to pursue that as a career. In her free time, she enjoys walking with her brittany spaniel, Archie, baking breads and sweets, and listening to true crime and wellness podcasts. She plans on completing a small animal rotating internship after graduation.
