Shaina is a fourth-year student from Newburgh, N.Y., who wishes to pursue zoological and wildlife medicine and aid conservation efforts. She has been enjoying her clinical-year experiences, including externships at Yale University in lab animal medicine, Dickerson Park Zoo, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Tess, a first-year student from Homer Glen, Ill., is interested in companion animal general practice, especially focusing on felines and exotics, and is very passionate about the human-animal bond. She is highly involved in professional organizations, including the Student American Veterinary Medical Association and Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
