Adaptations and Resource Use

An adaptation is a physical trait or behavior that a species has evolved which gives it an advantage for population survival. Many species are in direct competition with each other for limited natural resources such as food and space. Adaptations allow animals to better compete for resources and reproduce to aid species survival.
