Have You Seen It?

The Wildlife Medical Clinic has recently got a virtual upgrade! Our website was incorporated into the college’s website redesign. Our new site features a more user-friendly experience and improved access to our most popular links. Some new features include our revamped Adopt An Ambassador program, where you can get animal-made paintings or a personalized video from our ambassadors, and our Clinic Wish List, where you can learn about our most urgent needs and ways you can contribute to our program.

The collective efforts and passion of our volunteers is really a thing of inspiration. This year, approximately 120 student volunteers will serve in the Wildlife Medical Clinic. These students represent some of the most dedicated and hardworking in our college. By volunteering, they choose to add hours of didactic and hands-on learning to their busy schedules, working on behalf of our wildlife patients and developing their communication and leadership skills in the process. This program is fortunate to attract students from across the country, each of whom serves our community by providing care for approximately 2,000 wild animals and by sharing a message of conservation.

The Wildlife Medical Clinic program could not exist without our volunteers, and it cannot exist without you, our supporters. Some of you are former volunteers, watching your legacy grow with each new recruiting class. Others are members of our local and extended community, helping spread word that the Wildlife Medical Clinic is a resource for the community and extending the reach of our own conservation efforts. Collectively, we engage in the three-fold mission of the Wildlife Medical Clinic: wildlife care, veterinary education, and conservation outreach.

We hope you take a few minutes to visit our new site! While you’re at it, be sure to follow us on Facebook @UIWMC.

Stay well and thank you for all that you bring to our program.
