This past week, Kayla and I moved into the Lake County Field House, set-up the laboratory for the summer, and began field work. Luckily, we had some great weather out in the field this week. Kayla did an awesome job of teaching me the ropes of both field and lab work. We sampled quite a few turtles in the field this week in addition to 35 headstarts. Dr. Allender visited us in the lab earlier this week to help Kayla and I sample. Headstarts were released Friday and are off to start their new adventures in the wild. While Kayla was getting back into the swing of things, this week was such a great learning experience for me and was a ton of fun. Working with the blanding’s turtles the past week was awesome because they are super sweet and they even smile at you. Kayla and I are both really excited for our second week.

[1

post-4915","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
