Recognizing Our Donors
Alumni and friends who donate to the College of Veterinary Medicine are critical to our success, and it is our honor and privilege to recognize them for their generosity.
All donors who contribute at any level will be recognized for their contributions in the annual donor list that is featured in our Veterinary Report magazine unless anonymity is requested.
Donors who support the College annually at $500 or more are eligible for recognition in the Deans Club, the College’s giving society. Donors who support the College at gifts over $2500 annually are also eligible for recognition in University of Illinois giving societies, depending on your level of giving. You can read more below about the giving societies. If you are interested in making or increasing your leadership gift, please contact our office.
The Deans Club
Created to honor the rich heritage established by past and present leaders of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Deans Club is one way we say thank you for your leadership and support. As a member of the Deans Club, you will receive invitations to special events throughout the year designed to show our thanks for your support. Once your gifts reach $500 or more in the fiscal year, you are automatically a member of the Deans Club. If you are already in the Deans Club, please consider increasing your gift to move to the next level of recognition. Gifts made during each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) are recognized as follows:
Deans Club Bronze
Donors who contribute from $500 to $749 annually are recognized as members of our Deans Club Bronze group
Deans Club Silver
Donors who contribute from $750 to $999 annually are recognized as members of our Deans Club Silver Group
Deans Club Gold
Donors who contribute from $1,000 to $2,499 annually are recognized as members of our Deans Club Gold group
Deans Club Platinum
Donors who contribute $2500 annually are recognized as members of our Deans Club Platinum group as well as members of the University of Illinois Chancellor’s Circle.
Visit the History section of our website to learn more about the Deans who have lead the College and whose legacies we honor with this society.
Chancellor’s Circle members are donors who give $2,500 or more each fiscal year to funds on any of the three U of I campuses. Once your gifts reach a total of $2,500 in that fiscal year (July 1 – June 30), you are automatically a member of the Chancellor’s Circle for that year. Matching gifts are also counted in the cumulative annual total for recognition.
Chancellor’s Circle members are recognized in an annual honor roll, published after the close of the fiscal year. They also receive a welcome letter from the Chancellor and in some cases, invitations to and recognition at selected events throughout the year. The Chancellor’s Circle offers the opportunity for donors to be recognized by the University each year as leaders in annual giving.
Donors are recognized at four different giving levels based on household cumulative contributions across all departments, programs, colleges, and campuses. Those levels are:
Bronze – $2,500-$4,999
Silver – $5,000-$9,999
Gold – $10,000-$24,999
Platinum – $25,000 or more
Since 1964, the President’s Council has offered private donors a unique opportunity to significantly impact University of Illinois. Members include those who have made significant philanthropic investments in the University totaling $50,000 or more.
