Criteria: For fourth-year students on the Dean’s List with a grade point average of 3.50 or greater.

Mae Stepanski
Mae is a fourth-year student from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is interested in pursuing a residency in small animal surgery and dreams of completing a cardiothoracic surgical fellowship. She will enter a small animal rotating internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, Ohio, following graduation.

Alyssa Sauer
Alyssa is a fourth-year student from Chicago, IL. She is interested in small animal general practice and emergency medicine, with special interests in surgery, nutrition, neurology, and geriatric care. She is looking forward to incorporating all of these aspects into practice, and further advancing her skills.

Alyssa Ruston-Bray
Alyssa is a fourth-year student from Lawrenceville, Illinois. She is interested in small animal emergency medicine and urgent care. She hopes to enter a mentorship program after graduation to gain essential experience before practicing as an emergency veterinarian.

Jesi Petersen
Jesi, a fourth-year student from Glencoe, Illinois, is pursuing a career as an equine general practicioner. Her favorite part of equine medicine is improving the quality of life of companion horses. After graduation she will complete an equine general practice internship at Great Lakes Equine Wellness Center in Hortonville, Wisconsin. She also hopes to volunteer at shelters.

Stephen Grisoli
Stephen is a fourth-year student from South Bend, Indiana, who is interested in small animal emergency and primary care. Stephen is passionate about veterinary leadership, communication, and surgery. He especially enjoys the balance of hard science with compassionate care that skilled veterinary medicine requires. Post-graduation Stephen will be practicing a combination of emergency and general practice in the Chicagoland area.

Erica Gamboe
Erica is a fourth-year student from Peoria, Illinois. She is interested in small animal general practice with companion exotics. She has accepted a position as an associate veterinarian at a clinic in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, after graduation.

Audrey Fox
Audrey is a fourth-year student who is originally from upstate New York but who lived and worked in the Chicago area before vet school. She has special interests in surgery, dentistry, and feline medicine. After graduation she will work as a small animal general practitioner in San Francisco. Audrey also hopes to incorporate shelter medicine, especially high-quality high-volume spay/neuter, into her career.

Jordan Demanty
Jordan is a fourth-year student from Clovis, CA. She hopes to specialize in ophthalmology and will be completing an academic small animal rotating internship after graduation. She looks forward to treating the eyes of all species!

Sarah Brink
Sarah is a fourth-year student from Aurora, Illinois. She is interested in small animal general practice with a focus in behavioral medicine. She hopes to treat exotic species in the future as well. She will be joining a small animal general practice in Boston after graduation.

Abigail Bray
Abby is a fourth-year student from East Windsor, Connecticut, interested in small animal emergency medicine. Following graduation she intends to pursue a rotating internship and possibly a residency in emergency and critical care. Her interests include polytrauma, wound management, and providing compassionate care to pets and their families during difficult moments.
