Criteria: For excellence in teaching, awarded to one faculty member from each department, as selected by students in the second-, third-, and fourth-year of the veterinary degree program.

Dr. Miranda Vieson

Dr. Miranda Vieson

Dr. Vieson joined the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 as a board-certified veterinary anatomic pathologist contributing to training veterinary anatomic pathology residents, teaching pathology to veterinary students, and providing research support and diagnostic services. She acquired her DVM from Ohio State and completed her residency training and PhD in immunology at Virginia Tech. Dr. Vieson enjoys engaging students in learning veterinary pathology to help them develop into competent, successful, and valuable veterinarians and diagnosticians.

Dr. Juanmahel Davila

Dr. Juanmahel Davila

Dr. Davila has been at the College of Veterinary Medicine since 2006, serving in various capacities. He serves as the Section Head of Veterinary Anatomy and the Assistant Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Comparative Biosciences. He teaches veterinary anatomy in the first-year veterinary curriculum and enjoys working with students and helping them develop critical thinking skills.
