Lindzie Nork
Lindzie, a third-year student from Batavia, Illinois, is interesting in small animal general practice and hopes to practice integrative medicine in the future. She believes that preventive medicine is crucial and looks forward to providing this care to her patients. For patients that do become ill, she hopes to combine elements of traditional and holistic medicine as part of her treatment plan.

Kyana Miller
Kyana, a third-year student from Austin, Texas, is interested in small animal emergency medicine, shelter medicine, and mixed animal emergency medicine. Before she started veterinary school she completed a master's degree in animal reproductive physiology. She plans to move to Chicago, Illinois, to start an emergency medicine rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Center.

Ashley Joyce
Ashley is a second-year student from Concord Township, Ohio. She is interested in both small animal and equine medicine and has a passion for serving those in need, either in underserved communities or through shelter medicine. She recently completed an independent externship at Lake Humane Society in Ohio and hopes to spend more time there this summer assisting with their Trap-Neuter-Return program.

Susie Chae
Susie is a third-year student from Midland, Michigan, with an interest in small animal general practice. She is particularly passionate about pursuing practice ownership and embracing the challenges and rewards it entails. Outside of her academic pursuits, she is actively involved in veterinary medicine through her leadership role with Christian Veterinary Missions and her work at the histology lab.

Magdalena Biernat
Magdalena, a first-year student from Burbank, Illinois, hopes to integrate her interests in research, particularly in nutrition and infectious disease, integrative sports medicine, and mixed animal medicine, to someday influence public health policy. This summer she will be working at Darien Animal Clinic to hone her skills and externing at Veterinary Specialty Center to learn more about the day-to-day roles of various veterinary specialists.
