Criteria: For a fourth-year veterinary student who demonstrates sincere interest in veterinary internal medicine as well as outstanding didactic and clinical expertise.
Gina Kowalewicz
Gina is a fourth-year student from Woodridge, Illinois. She is interested in equine ambulatory practice and would like to incorporate sports medicine into her future career. Following graduation, she will be completing an equine internship through a private practice in northern Illinois.
Stephen Grisoli
Stephen is a fourth-year student from South Bend, Indiana, who is interested in small animal emergency and primary care. Stephen is passionate about veterinary leadership, communication, and surgery. He especially enjoys the balance of hard science with compassionate care that skilled veterinary medicine requires. Post-graduation Stephen will be practicing a combination of emergency and general practice in the Chicagoland area.
Owen Davis
Owen, a fourth-year student from Geneva, Illinois, is interested in pursuing small animal general practice and also has a special interest in internal medicine and cardiology. He plans to practice in his hometown and pursue continuing education in ultrasonography to deepen his expertise and enhance his skills beyond those of the typical general practitioner.
