Student must be in good academic standing, demonstrate the need for financial assistance, continuous membership in SAVMA & CVMA, preference to students focusing on small animal practice. Erica, a fourth-year student from Chicago, Illinois, earned her bachelor's degree from the largest HBCU in the nation, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She plans to work at a small animal general practice in Chicago where she can incorporate her passions of small animal surgery, client education, and community outreach and hopes to one day open a practice in Chicago.
