Criteria: For two students who are selected first based upon academic merit and secondarily upon financial need. Recipients shall be students seeking to specialize in small animals and the recipients shall be eligible for renewal as long as they continue to satisfy the selection criteria.

Criteria: Preference shall be given to students from the following counties in Illinois: Madison, St Clair, Bond, Clinton, Jersey, Washington, Marion, Macoupin, Montgomery, Fayette, Jefferson, Franklin, Randolph, Perry, Jackson, Williamson, Clay, Richland, Lawrence, Wabash, Edwards, Wayne, Hamilton, White, Saline, Gallatin, Union, Pope, Hardin, Johnson, Union, Alexander, Pulaski, Massac, and Monroe. Additional preference shall be given to students who demonstrate a strong interest in general practice and surgery.
