    Criteria: For a student with background in the standardbred industry or an interest in practicing equine. Strong people and practice skills.

    Criteria: For a student with financial need.

  • Mary Jo Arndt Scholarship Fund

    Sponsor: The Dr. Paul and Mary Jo Arndt/Wheaton Kennel Club Scholarship Fund

    Criteria: For a student from DuPage County or a surrounding county who maintains a grade point average of at least 3.0 and who demonstrates outstanding clinical aptitude, especially in small animal medicine and surgery.

  • Dr. Wes and Sheila Bieritz Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Dr. Wes and Sheila Bieritz Scholarship Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For an Illinois resident from Iroquois, Vermilion, or Edgar counties.

  • Boehringer-Ingelheim Senior Student Award for Proficiency in Clinical Cardiology

    Sponsor: Boehringer – Ingelheim

    Criteria: For a fourth-year student with superior aptitude and affinity for the care of veterinary cardiology patients. Overall performance while on clinical rotation involving the care of animals and demonstrated skill in patient care and client communications.

    Sponsor: The Dr. Loyd E. Boley Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a deserving CVM student.

  • Wally Brandt Endowment Fund

    Sponsor: The Dr. and Mrs. Wally Brandt Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student interested in rural veterinary medicine.

  • Dr. Marcus L. Brown, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Marcus L. Brown, Jr. Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a rising fourth-year student from Southern Illinois with demonstrated interest in practicing small animal medicine.

  • Mary L. Brundage Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Mary L. Brundage Scholarship Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student from Winnebago County, interested in attending the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.

  • Dr. Michael Buedel Award

    Sponsor: Dr. Michael Buedel

    Criteria: For a student from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine who is participating in clinical rotation training at Illinois, with preference for those interested in managing and owning multiple practices.

  • Dr. Casey Cadile Memorial Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Dr. Casey Cadile Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For students interested in pursuing a specialization in oncology, who show perseverance and have a positive spirit.

  • Alice and Bob Campbell Scholarships Created in Loving Memory of the Campbell Cats

    Sponsor: The Alice C. and Robert C. Campbell Scholarship Fund in Loving Memory of the Campbell Cats

    Criteria: For two students who are selected first based upon academic merit and secondarily upon financial need. Recipients shall be students seeking to specialize in small animals and the recipients shall be eligible for renewal as long as they continue to satisfy the selection criteria.

  • Marvin T. and Carolyn B. Case Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Dr. Marvin T. and Carolyn B. Case Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student who ranks in the top half of the class, has good communication and people skills, and has an interest in a non-practice career such as academia, research, industry, or laboratory animal medicine.

  • Chicago Veterinary Medical Association President’s Scholastic Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Chicago Veterinary Medical Association

    Criteria: Demonstrated achievement in small animal medicine and surgery. Student must be in good academic standing, demonstrate the need for financial assistance, continuous membership in SCAVMA & CVMA, preference to students focusing on small animal practice.

  • Chicago Veterinary Medical Association Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Chicago Veterinary Medical Association

    Criteria: Demonstrated achievement in small animal medicine and surgery. Student must be in good academic standing, demonstrates the need for financial assistance, continuous membership in SCAVMA & CVMA, preference to students focusing on small animal practice.

  • Stafford Clark-Price Memorial Feline Compassion Award

    Sponsor: Dr. Stuart Clark-Price and Ms. Erin Moon

    Criteria: For a fourth-year student with demonstrated compassion and care towards feline patients.

  • Class of 1952 Food Animal Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Class of 1952 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student with strong interest in pursuing a career in large animal medicine or food animal medicine; preference is given to males who are Illinois residents.

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing.

  • Class of 1955 Scholarship

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing with financial need.

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing with financial need.

  • Class of 1975 Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Class of 1975 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: Given to the third-year student who demonstrates the greatest enthusiasm and devotion for veterinary medicine through personal actions and community deeds.

  • Class of 1976 Scholarship

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing.

  • Class of 1979 Scholarship/Janis Audin Memorial

    Sponsor: The Class of 1979 Endowment Fund and the friends of Janis Audin

    Criteria: For a third-year student who has emotional maturity and strong leadership and people skills, is in good academic standing, is involved with the student chapter of the AVMA; classmates vote to select five finalists, and winner is selected by the awards committee.

  • Class of 1983 Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Class of 1983 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: Chosen based on a personal statement describing working relationships with practicing veterinarians, extracurricular activities, involvement with student organizations, and career goals; the student must also show financial need.

  • Veterinary Medicine Class of 1984 Award

    Sponsor: The Class of 1984 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: To be used by a fourth-year student for an animal-based externship anywhere in the United States, with preference given to a non-profit animal-based externship.

  • Class of 1986 Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Class of 1986 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing with financial need and a member of SAVMA.

  • Class of 1987 Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Class of 1987 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing.

  • Class of 1988 Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Class of 1988 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For an Illinois resident who is a third- or fourth-year student, with preference given to those with financial need and academic merit.

  • Class of 1990 Scholarship

    Criteria: For a student with financial need.

  • Vet Med Class of 2004 Scholarship Endowment Fund

    Sponsor: The Class of 2004 Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student in good academic standing with financial need.

  • The Clinical Skills Learning Center Achievement Award

    Sponsor: The College of Veterinary Medicine Clinical Skills Learning Center

    Criteria: For a third-year student who passes the Objective Structured Clinical Examinations that are taken in the second and third years with the fewest number of skill components to be remediated.

  • Loren Lee Cluster Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Loren Lee Cluster Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a student with good academic standing and financial need who graduated from an Illinois high school and resides in Illinois.

  • Dr. Beverly Y. Cockrell Memorial Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Dr. Beverly Y. Cockrell Memorial Scholarship in Veterinary Medicine Fund

    Criteria: For a female student in good academic standing and financial need who has plans to pursue a career in research, preferably pathology.

  • Lisa Ann Coole Memorial Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Lisa Ann Coole Memorial Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For demonstrated exceptional community service for animals or humans, volunteer activities, and academic performance.

  • Coyne Family Scholarship

    Sponsor: The Coyne Family Endowment Fund

    Criteria: For a third-year student with financial need, an interest in small animal medicine, and an interest in practice ownership and management.

  • Dr. Paul Davis and Dr. Karin Crocker Scholarship

    Sponsor: Dr. Paul Davis & Dr. Karin Crocker

    Criteria: Preference shall be given to students from the following counties in Illinois: Madison, St Clair, Bond, Clinton, Jersey, Washington, Marion, Macoupin, Montgomery, Fayette, Jefferson, Franklin, Randolph, Perry, Jackson, Williamson, Clay, Richland, Lawrence, Wabash, Edwards, Wayne, Hamilton, White, Saline, Gallatin, Union, Pope, Hardin, Johnson, Union, Alexander, Pulaski, Massac, and Monroe. Additional preference shall be given to students who demonstrate a strong interest in general practice and surgery.
