Kaylee Hillinger is the Associate Director of Industry Relations within the Online Programs and Extension team at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, recently joining the team in June 2023. In this role, she serves as the liaison between industry and curriculum development for degree and non-degree seeking graduate programs administered by the I-Learning Center by gaining an understanding of the knowledge gaps in the workforce and designing new courses to fill the gap.

Previously, Kaylee worked for 8 years within the swine organization at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal, with several roles in sales and marketing. She enjoyed the opportunity to work with veterinarians and producers across the Midwest and more recently aiding in the development and implementation of swine management software and technology.

She attended the University of Illinois majoring in Animal Science and completed a master’s degree in animal agricultural production. She is active in the IL Pork Producers Association and serves as the District 2 Director.

Kaylee was raised on a hobby farm in Sycamore, IL. She now resides in Mahomet, IL with her husband, Derek, and their two children, Ada and Myles. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exercising, and traveling. They spend a great deal of time on home projects and playing in the backyard as a family, often adventuring with the dogs to find where their small flock of chickens has wandered for the day.
