Congressman representing the 13th District in Illinois

Rodney Davis is currently serving his fifth term in Congress representing the 13th District of Illinois, which covers a 14-county region that includes both urban and rural communities in central and southwestern Illinois. Rodney serves on the Committee on House Administration, where he is the Ranking Member, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, where he is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, and the House Committee on Agriculture. Rodney also serves as a Deputy Whip for Republican Whip Steve Scalise.

During his time in Congress, Rodney has established himself as an effective lawmaker who works with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to govern and advocate for the priorities of the 13th District and Illinois. Since 2019, the Lugar Center & Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy’s Bipartisan Index has rated Rodney as the most bipartisan member of Congress from the Illinois delegation. For the First Session (2021) of the 117th Congress, Rodney is rated as the 22nd most bipartisan member of Congress nationwide.

Prior to being elected to Congress, Rodney served as Projects Director for Congressman John Shimkus for 16 years, helping Illinois citizens and communities cut through government red tape and secure federal funding. Rodney resides in Taylorville with his wife, Shannon, daughter, Toryn, and twin sons, Clark and Griffin.
