Dr. Varga is a veterinarian and epidemiologist, who is board-certified in Veterinary Preventive Medicine.

His laboratory aims to help veterinarians to implement effective disease prevention and control measures. His main interest is assessing infectious diseases in pets and farm animals and evaluating disease prevention methods that mitigate the impact of these infections. Dr. Varga’s second area of research evaluates the host-agent-environmental factors influencing antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance in animal populations.
