Ginger Passalacqua is the referral coordinator for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This means unless she's already assisting another referring veterinarian or visiting a referring veterinary office, she is the person that primarily answers the referring DVM hotline. Her goal is to connect the veterinarians of our clients' pets to the specialty veterinarians at the VTH, information share and coordinate lunch n learns. She helps secure the communication bond between family veterinarian and the specialty veterinarians at Illinois.
For nearly all of her professional career she has worked in the customer service field. Previously, she supervised both the small and large animal client services areas of the hospital. In 2008 her role changed to referral coordinator. She worked full time while earning her BA from Eastern Illinois University and paid for all of her college education herself.
She and her husband share their home he built with their two herding dogs, a Rough Collie named Augustus and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Chip. Her free time is spent riding her bike or walking with pups in tow, taking countless amounts of photos, reading, swimming, creating jewelry, and visiting Sarasota, Florida, annually during what they hope is the worst stretch of winter weather in Illinois.
