Quick Commands

Quick commands are used to access commonly used reports or functions in Vetstar. In most cases you must first select a patient. Type the command onto the 'Command' line on the Client/Patient screen, and then press the Enter key. Following are some commonly used quick commands.

Visit Processing

wt	Patient Weight Change (or weight). Enter the patient's weight here for every visit.
history	Accesses the editing screen for the History comment.
ds	Discharge Status Report. Lists all procedures charged or pending for the current visit.
pricing	Search for prices and procedure codes. Include a client account # to see discounted price.

Labels

fl labels	Print medical record labels for the selected patient. Note that you may change the number of copies printed in the Report destination screen. Quick command fl defaults to 12 copies; labels defaults to 6 copies.
rladd	Prints address labels for the patient's referral doctor. Use rlad2 if the patient has been discharged.
cladd	Prints client address labels.

Information/Reports

ccom	Print your client communications for the selected patient (prompts for visit selection).
disrpts	Print all discharge/release reports for all visits for the selected patient.
disvrpt	Print the discharge/release reports for the selected patient for a specific visit (prompts for visit selection).
imgrpts	Print all imaging reports for all visits for the selected patient.
imgvrpt	Print the imaging reports for the selected patient for a specific visit (prompts for visit selection).
pathrpts	Prints all of the UI VDL pathology reports (starting from April 2004) for the selected patient.
pathvrpt	Prints all of the UI VDL pathology reports (starting from April 2004) for the selected patient for a specific visit (prompts for visit selection).
ph	Procedure History screen. (Same as clicking on the HIST/book icon.) Displays all of the procedures that have been charged out to the selected patient.
pp	Patient Profile screen. (Same as clicking on the binoculars icon.) Displays information about the client, patient, referring vet, and the record location.
pt	Patient Tracking Screen. Reflects the dates entered into the Vaccination window.
racert	Print a rabies certificate (IMRAB3).
catcert	Print a rabies certificate (Purevax).
rdvmrpts	Print all referral reports for all visits for the selected patient.
rdvmvrpt	Print the referral report for a specific visit for the selected patient (prompts for visit selection).
recall	Recall procedures due (same as menu choice 7). Generated from procedures entered.
ref	Referring vet information lookup screen.
res	Also results. Lab test results screen. Look up function for results of tests run by clinic staff (e.g. Heartworm and Fecal tests).
rlrfrpts	Print all release/referral combination reports for all visits for the selected patient.
rlrfvrpt	Print the release/referral combination report for a specific visit for the selected patient (prompts for visit selection).
rxh	Also rxhist. Access the Prescription History screen.
summ	Summary of the selected patient’s medical record by visit. (same as clicking on the Summary icon).
msum	Summary of the selected patient’s medical record over multiple visits.
surgrpts	Print all surgery reports for all visits for the selected patient.
surgvrpt	Print the surgery report for a specific visit for the selected patient (prompts for visit selection).
vc	Prints a vaccination certificate (dates from the Patient Tracking Screen)
vx	Vaccination History - lists all Vaccination procedures performed on the patient.

Appointments

a	Access Scheduler (same as the appointment icon)
printsch	Print an appointment schedule for a date range.
am	Appointment Menu
cappt	Client Appointment Inquiry (all patient appointments for a client). You may see past appointments by entering a Y into the 'History' field.
sch	Displays appointment schedules on screen for a single date (specify clinic - SAC or LAC) (specify section, date, and/or doctor).

Client Services

change	Change visit information, e.g. visit type or doctors.
D	Financial detail history.
state	Prints an invoice statement by entered date range.

Procedure Audits

procrpt	Prints a report of all patients having a selected procedure performed for a date range.
prrpt	Produces a report similar to the one generated by procrpt.
prinq	Displays all of the cases directly to the screen. You may go directly to one of the accounts by selecting it from the result window.
