College Alumna Featured in Halftime Spot
In
June 30 Dr. Rosemary LoGiudice, a 1981 graduate of the College, was
filmed for this year’s national halftime spot to be aired on ABC,
ESPN, and CBS during Illini football and basketball games. She was one
of about a dozen alumni selected for the spots, which feature alumni
at various locations on campus saying such things as “This is
where I learned to teach” and “This is where I learned to
lead.”
Dr. LoGiudice was filmed in the College’s
nuclear scintigraphy suite with Attila, one of the Trakehner horses
that were part of the Kosterka estate gift to the College. Her line
was “This is where I learned to heal.”
In the final segment of the spot, all the alumni
say, “This is where I learned to live.”
After many years owning a very successful mostly
equine practice in Manhattan, Ill., Dr. LoGuidice took a position as
assistant director for Membership and Field Services and SAVMA Advisor
at the American Veterinary Medical Association about 3 years ago. She
flew her plane to Urbana for the shoot and wowed the production crew
with her professional and enthusiastic delivery. Be sure to watch for
her and Attila during the games later this year. Or check out the campus
Web site where it can be viewed as streaming video.
