Do you have a dentistry case that has kept you up at night? Or one that others would find interesting? Bring tough and interesting cases to this Dentistry Rounds discussion on Saturday, July 16, and/or, Saturday, October 22, and Dr. Amy Somrak and Dr. Katherine Kling will discuss the case with you and others at the session.
Registration is free and attendees are eligible for 2 hours CE credit. Coffee and light snacks will be served. Advanced registration is REQUIRED.
Please bring your cases on a flash drive or email them to yourself for access during the course. Images and radiographs are encouraged.
Dr. Amy Somrak
Dr. Amy Somrak, Clinical Instructor in Dentistry at the University of Illinois, graduated with honors in 2010 from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. As a veterinary student she received the Dr. Albert S. Dorn Award for Excellence in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Dr. Somrak continued her association with the college to complete a rotating small animal internship, followed by a dentistry residency under the supervision of Dr. Sandra Manfra. Dr. Somrak took on the role of Dentistry Service Head at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital after Dr. Manfra’s retirement.
Dr. Katherine Kling
Dr. Katie Kling, Clinical Instructor in Dentistry at the University of Illinois, graduated in 2008 from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kling practiced in a small animal hospital in Cincinnati, OH for 6 years, and College Station, TX for a year before arriving at the University of Illinois. Now as a part of the dentistry service team, Dr. Kling is also a part-time dental resident under the co-mentorship of Dr. Sandy Manfra and Dr. Larry Baker, as well as the guidance of Dr. Amy Somrak.
