MIC90 Results Available through Webvad

The U of IL VDL has developed a web based resource to aid veterinarians in making emperical antibiotic selections prior to receiving MIC results. The Webvad Search Screen has a new link (Panel Query) that indicates the currently available Sensititre antimicrobial panels for companion animals, avians, food animals, mastitis therapy, urinary tract infections, anaerobes, non-fermenters, or yeast. The site also includes a minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC90) generator, that can present results of a query of bacterial isolates characterized by the U of IL VDL Microbiology Laboratory during the past two years. Clients must be registered Webvad users to access this new site.
