Course Information

Registration
The registration fee covers the cost of handout materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks. Payment must be enclosed to guarantee registration. The prices listed below are per person. The early registration deadline is Sunday, October 11, 2009.

On or Before October 11, 2009 - $250
After October 11, 2009 - $300

Course fees are payable by check or money order to the University of Illinois or by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express and are due at the time of registration. Early registration is recommended.

Continuing Education
Veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians can obtain up to 15.0 CEUs for attendance at the course. Participants will receive continuing education verification at the end of the course.

Location
The course will be held on the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine campus, which is located on S. Lincoln Ave., in Urbana, Ill. For maps and directions visit the Office of Public Engagement.

All lectures will be held in room 100 of the Large Animal Clinic, which is located at 1102 W. Hazelwood Dr., Urbana, Ill. Entrance to this facility is through the courtyard area between the Large and Small Animal Clinics. The hands-on laboratory will be held in the Surgery and Obstetrics Laboratory located adjacent to the Large Animal Clinic.

Course Check-In
Course materials will be available on the day of the course just inside the entrance located off of the courtyard area between the Large and Small Animal Clinics beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009.

Hotel Accommodations
Course attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Room blocks will be held through September 23, 2009. The below listed rates can be obtained by requesting the “Vet Med Fish Medicine” room block. All prices listed are not inclusive of taxes.

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be given if written notification is received by Sunday, October 11, 2009. Written cancellation should be sent to ope@vetmed.illinois.edu or to the same mailing address to which registrations are sent. Registrations are transferable. After October 11, refunds will not be made.

We reserve the right to cancel programs and to change speakers if necessary. In the event of course cancellation, all registrants will receive a full refund. The University is not responsible for travel expenses in the event of a cancellation.

Transportation
The University of Illinois is located near Interstates 57, 72, and 74. The community is also accessible by train via Amtrak and airplane through Willard Airport (CMI) at Savoy. The course will be held at the University of Illinois Large Animal Clinic, which is located at 1102 W. Hazelwood Dr., Urbana. For maps and directions, visit the Office of Public Engagement.

Parking
Course attendees may park in lot F27 and follow the signs to the check-in. The entrance to this lot is off of S. Lincoln Ave. Course attendees should NOT park in the Large or Small Animal Clinic parking lots. These lots are reserved for weekend clients and staff.

Messages
In an emergency, messages can be left for course participants at 217/333-2907 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. As a courtesy to other course attendees, we request that all cell phone ringers be muted for the duration of the course.
