Pets Shine at Presidential Party to Benefit Animal Patients

Finally, a party that encourages you to bring your pet!

Oskee Bow Wow, a party for pets and their people, gives party-lovers a chance to put on the dog - literally. It will take place Wednesday, September 25, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at the University of Illinois Presidents House, 711 West Florida Avenue, Urbana.

Pets are invited to strut their stuff and show off their costumes or talents. It's all for fun, and to raise money for the Humane Connection Fund at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which makes it possible for clinicians to go the extra mile in treatment of animal companions in order to benefit both patients and their owners who may have limited means.

Humans and non-human guests will enjoy a variety of gourmet treats. Costumes are optional for pets, and a photographer will be on hand to capture the memories.

Tickets are $50 per guest and $10 per pet. Guests may park in the grass lot to the west of the President's House. People are welcome with or without pets. Sorry, no pets without people.
