Support local wildlife as you treat the members of your whole family--pets included--to a movie night at the fourth annual Howl at the Harvest Moon fundraiser event for the University of Illinois Wildlife Medical Clinic. The event will be held on Saturday, September 26, at the Harvest Moon Drive-In, 1123 S. Sangamon Ave., Gibson City on Route I-47, 20 miles north of I-74. Doors open at 6:20 p.m.
Disney's G-Force, a superhero movie (rated PG) that follows highly trained, gadget-equipped guinea pigs who are called on to save the world, will begin at 7:20 p.m. Tickets are $5 a person. Children under 5 years old watch for free. Movie will play rain or shine.
All ticket and concession stand sales will benefit the university's Wildlife Medical Clinic, a non-profit organization run by volunteers and supported by tax-deductible donations from the public. The clinic treats more than 2,000 animals each year and is staffed 24 hours a day. Injured and ill wildlife animals, excluding skunks and bats, are never refused.
