Personal Computer Equipment Service Over Winter Break
Due to staff limitations, extended support for personally-owned computer equipment and accessories will not be available at the Computing Services Help Desk during Winter Break (Dec 20, 2010 - January 17, 2011). Extended Service Walk-In hours, normally held Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-5:30p, will also not be available. The following types of assistance are still being offered by appointment only:
- Connecting to University wireless networks (IllinoisNet, UIUCnet, VPN)
- Configuration of University email for computer and mobile phone clients
- Remotely connecting to Vet Med network shares (Remote Access)
- Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)
If you need to request an appointment for one of the above types of service for your personal equipment, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include: your name, phone number, brief description of your problem and a range of days/times that you are available. We will attempt to meet with you as soon as possible after receiving your request, however these appointments are subject to staff availability.
