The Department of Pathobiology (http://www.cvm.uiuc.edu/path/), at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Visiting Clinical Instructor to provide instructional support for the professional veterinary curriculum courses offered by the Department of Pathobiology. This position reports directly to the faculty course coordinators.
The successful candidate will facilitate the delivery of the lecture and laboratory components of the courses. Responsibilities will include:
o Coordinating classroom and laboratory instructional activities
o Maintaining course collections and materials
o Coordinating course websites
Candidates must have a professional degree in veterinary medicine (DVM) or an equivalent degree.
Also required are excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to follow appropriate laboratory procedures for work with infectious agents and the ability to follow guidelines for appropriate animal handling and use is required.
Previous instructional experience is desirable.
This is a temporary full-time, 9-month academic professional appointment which may become permanent at a later date. The salary for this position is competitive and dependent upon on experience and qualifications. The anticipated starting date is on or about August 16, 2011.
