Mixed animal practice in west central Indiana has an associate veterinary position open. The practice is 70% SA/30% LA; LA is primarily equine and bovine with some swine and small ruminant. Interest in equine ambulatory medicine would be beneficial but not necessary. This is a four clinic practice with 17 veterinarians and 9 technicians. Practice continues to experience substantial growth resulting in the need for additional professional staff. This position will be for a fourth veterinarian at our Greencastle location. Greencastle is an up and coming college town, only 40 minutes from Indianapolis. This clinic was built in 2008 with a new addition just completed in November of 2017. The facility now has four exam rooms, a relatively large isolation room with an exterior access, and three wet tables for treatments and procedures. Our website is www.westcentralvet.com
All veterinarians practice both small and large animal medicine. However, our practitioners are encouraged to explore areas of interest and specialization. We presently have veterinarians offering: equine reproduction, bovine embryo transfer, ultrasound diagnostics, canine behavior, alternative medicine, canine reproduction, and canine rehabilitation.
A practice truck will be provided as well as all equipment, coveralls, and smocks. The clinics operate as separate entities with emergencies being covered by each practice respectfully. The new associates will share emergency rotation with the other veterinarians at the respective clinics. Veterinarians receive 30% of the gross revenue for all their emergencies. Other benefits provided include malpractice insurance, a continuing education allowance, and medical insurance. We strongly encourage CE and try to have everyone attend a national meeting at least every other year. Competitive salary that will be discussed upon interview.
