Spanish for Dairy Science and Beef Cattle Industries
This is a December group trip to Costa Rica for the program offered through Proyecto Asis, a volunteer center, Spanish institute, bird observatory, & wild animal rescue center in Javillos, Costa Rica. • Brazilian Study-abroad Trip
Given any thought as to what you're doing during spring break? Consider spending it in Brazil on a short-term study abroad trip, and earn credit for graduation. The Brazilian Study-Abroad program is a unique opportunity led by Dr. Darrel J. Kesler, Professor of Animal Sciences. Although it will occur during spring break it will be an educational trip—not a vacation. While in Brazil students live in unique cultural settings and study the domestic and wild animals these people use for food production and the environmental and social impact of these various practices. There will also be considerable focus on the study of interpersonal relations, group dynamics, and leadership opportunities and obligations. Students will be engaged in their learning at all times. Classes will be in the field–a variety of beautiful environments within Brazil–and will teach theory and practice with considerable hands-on opportunities. An information meeting will be held on September 19 at 7 to 8 PM in room 150 ASL. If at all interested, please attend.
