SPOTLIGHT ON THE TEACHING HOSPITAL

Dr. Jacques FuselierMeet Dr. A. Jacques Fuselier

Dr. Jacques Fuselier, visiting clinical instructor of veterinary clinical medicine, came to Illinois in August of 2010 after seven years of owning with his wife a mixed-animal practice in Louisiana called Veterinary Services of Acadiana. The practice grew, as did the staff and Dr. Fuselier's passion for large animal medicine and surgery.

His main areas of interest are equine/bovine reproduction, equine/bovine lameness, cattle herd health and cow-calf consultation, with a particular focus on high-risk cattle and antibiotic usage.

Dr. Fuselier is an active member of the Academy of Veterinary Consultants, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and American Association of Swine Veterinarians. He plans to sit for the ABVP-Food Animal Boards in November 2011 and the ACT (Theriogenology) boards in August 2012.
