December 2009 |
MESSAGE FROM THE DEANDean HERB WHITELEY, COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINEAs our fall semester and the calendar year come to a close, I send greetings to you and yours on behalf of the College. This has been an eventful year for us. Most notably, we opened a veterinary facility in Chicago and launched an innovative professional curriculum. In the coming year we will continue to sharpen our commitment to our highest priorities: preparing our veterinary students well for their careers, using science to expand knowledge and improve the world for living beings, and meeting the needs of animal patients, animal owners, and the veterinary profession. In the final days of 2009, you can still make a donation to the College in support of this work. Our online giving option is available through December 31 at http://vetmed.illinois.edu/advancement/giving.html. We are grateful for the continuing support of our donors and alumni, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the energy and potential of our students. Together we are making an impact.--Herb SPOTLIGHT ON THE TEACHING HOSPITAL
