The goal of this study is to determine the mechanisms by which prenatal BPA and phthalate exposure adversely affect the female and male reproductive systems using a mouse model. Specifically, this study is designed to test the hypothesis that BPA and phthalate exposure alter hormone receptor expression and cause oxidative stress in developing and adolescent gonads, leading to infertility, early reproductive senescence, and transgenerational effects on fertility in the offspring.
