Project 1: Description of the Study

The goal of this study is to develop novel methods to assess the impact of prenatal BPA or phthalate exposure on the physical and behavioral development of infants during the first few months of life. It is hypothesized that prenatal exposure to BPA and phthalates will disrupt brain and reproductive system development, which may result in changes in the typical sex differences observed on physical and cognitive measures. Physical and cognitive development will be assessed at birth, 4-5 and 7-8 months of age.
