Volunteer Gardeners Needed for June 6 Vet Med Prairie Planting Party!

On June 6 we're having a big garden party and we need your help!

Ten thousand prairie plant seedlings will be put in the ground at one and two foot spacing intervals in our new 10,000 square foot prairie garden.

With small, drill-mounted augers, workes will drill holes, and other volunteers will follow behind, pop the seedling from its pot, and plug it into the ground to ensure good root to soil contact.

Don't worry about having gardening or prairie smarts. Experts from Grand Prairie Friends will be directing the work.

So encourage your coworkers and friends to come out and get dirty for a good cause.  You may even learn about the rich botanical history of Illinois!
