Professional Interests: Effects of estrogen on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury, host/biomaterials interactions, and the use of appropriate animal models in cardiovascular research.  I am currently writing a how-to-study and learn effectively guide for medical, dental and veterinary students and am also working on a novel about a veterinarian practicing in northwest North Dakota in the early 1960's.
