Patrick Roady completed his DVM in 2003 from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked in private practice for 6 years, predominately practicing food animal medicine. In 2009, Patrick returned to the University of Illinois for a residency in anatomic pathology. Patrick completed his residency training in September of 2012, passed the ACVP board examination, and is currently a visiting clinical instructor for the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. He enjoys food animal diagnostics, especially studying and diagnosing respiratory diseases in pigs and cattle, and feels privileged to be able to contribute to the agricultural community in this route. With his professional background in food animal medicine, Patrick understands and appreciates the demands and expectations of large animal practitioners and their clients. Dr. Roady is also responsible for many of the ocular histopathology submissions that the VDL receive.
