All personnel in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital are required to wear identification badges.
In an attempt to ensure the safety of staff and students it is expected that identification badges will be visibly worn by all employees and students. The wearing of ID badges has many benefits including allowing for the immediate name and face recognition which facilitates communication with clients as well as with our own personnel (students, staff, faculty). These badges also allow for the identification of non-authorized persons in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which is important as a potential security concern for us all.
Pictures will be taken for your student ID badge that you will begin wearing on Monday, October 17, 2016 while on for first eight weeks of clinical rotations. This picture will also be used as the picture that will be included in the Class of 2020 composite picture.
Pictures will be taken in by the Design Group in Room 2873 which is located on the second floor of the Basic Science Building (first building off Lincoln Avenue with Veterinary Medicine on the front of it) at the following times:
- Tuesday, August 16 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 17 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 18 Noon – 1:30 p.m. is your LAST CHANCE!
This ID badge will be provided to you at no charge. If you lose your badge or need a replacement, please be aware that you will be charged a cost of $6.00 each.
