Ebola Author Quammen to Speak on Campus

“Ebola and Beyond: Emerging Viruses in a Globalized World” is the title of a lecture to be deliver by journalist and author David Quammen, best known for his 2012 publication Spillover, a work on the science, history, and human impacts of emerging diseases that was short-listed for eight national and international awards and won three.

Quammen will speak on the University of Illinois campus on Monday, September 21, at 4 pm in the NCSA Auditorium, 1205 W. Clark St., Urbana, Ill. Campus sponsors of this talk include the Program in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology; the Department of Pathobiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology.
